Service Centre
ACT is a service centre in the state of Baden-Württemberg for scientific and societal exchange with Africa.
This means, on the one hand, that African students and researchers, as well as researchers at ACT can inform themselves about study and career options (education and research) in Europe. Further, they get disclosures about research infrastructures and symposia, as well as potential professional and financial sponsors within Europe, especially in Switzerland, France, and Germany. On the other hand, ACT will provide information about the current situation of African research initiatives and networks, as well as potential research partners and institutions on the African continent to European students and researchers. Both sides will get information about opportunities of mobility and residence in the respective host country. The existing information, provided at state, federal, and EU level, shall not be doubled. Instead, an appropriate internet platform, in terms of a “portal of portals”, shall be allocated. Furthermore, the portal displays the network of actors and activities in science and culture with reference to Africa in Baden-Württemberg and offers helpful evidence about the African scientific and cultural landscape.
