“De/Coloniality Now” funds research project by ACT member Dr. Tim Glawion
The “De/Coloniality Now” initiative at the University of Freiburg funds early career research tandems to finance practical experience for researchers. The funded projects bring together multidisciplinary and international teams of researchers. This year, “De/Coloniality Now” is funding ACT member Dr. Tim Glawion in his tandem project:
Tim Glawion together with Dr. Marius Crépin Mouguia (University of Bangui) and Josaphat Musamba (Ghent University) will explore the possibility of a decolonial alternative for cross-national comparison of peace and security in countries of the Global South in the project “Exploring opportunities for decolonial cross area comparison - Central African Republic and Democratic Republic of the Congo”.
In addition, “De/Coloniality Now” is also funding the project of an ABI employee: Viviana García Pinzón will work together with Dr. Jan Grill (Universidad del Valle) and Mag. Ana María Cruz (Universidad del Valle; Universidad de San Buenaventura) as part of the project “Caring life in and from the urban margins: Women, ollas comunitarias, and everyday resistance in Cali, Colombia” to investigate how women in Cali (Colombia) use cooking both as a strategy against violence and various forms of oppression and for the creation of new common spaces in the (post-)colonial city.
Our congratulations!
