A warm welcome to ABI and ACT!

Dr. Anusa Daimon from the University of the Free State in South Africa is an AvH fellow (Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship) at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Freiburg.

Reuben Dela Klutse and Parrendah Adwoa Kpeli, PhD students from the University of Ghana (Political Science and Economics), are spending an ERASMUS+ at the Africa Centre for Transregional Research (ACT) until February.

Prof. Alexander Boniface Makulilo is coming to the ABI from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania as an AvH scholar until July. He is conducting research as part of the project "Election and Technology in Africa 1".

Catherine Ng'ang'a is taking up a doctorate in political science at the University of Freiburg as a KAD scholarship holder. Her doctoral thesis, supervised by Andreas Mehler, is titled "The Role of Narratives and Power in the Construction and Legitimation of Post-Conflict Regimes. The Case of Ethiopia's Derg (1974-91) and EPRDF (1991-2012) Regimes".
